Please make your voice heard - contact your local school board, your legislators, and the governor to let them know of your opposition. Write letters to your local newspapers. Do all you can to spread the word.

The federal government can't even run itself within a budget or hold itself accountable to constitutional law. How could it possibly think it can be successful in educating the nations' children. Perhaps they all need to start over and begin with K-5 to educate themselves in how to run this republic of the USA.

I'm very much enraged over the plans to make our children wards of the local community / state / Federal Govt. / 'One World Gov't. This is Socialism to the max. No thank you!

Enough of Big Brother government in our lives. Local schools know the needs of their students and what they need. Our children need to be protected. Parents must stand up for their rights and for the rights of their children.

I have been watching and reading about CC for months and am convinced that is terribly wrong for our Public or Private schools. Please continue to fight the CC.

Common core is antithetical to education. I watch children in my family being swayed to a thought-process that is teaching them to stop asking questions, that the answers won't make any sense to her regardless, a VERY dangerous frame of mind. The world is complicated enough. Our kids need to be given FACTS and to be taught logic and reasoning skills rather than be thrown in the ditch of apathy mindless compliance engenders.

I have a teacher/friend who has been forced to teach common core this year. She begs me to do all I can to help stop common core. Even the principal. They are testing at only 2 grade levels this year...It makes no sense. 2 + 2 = 4. that's fact and no need for a different theory.

As a grandparent I am worried about this whole concept. With the tracking system going to the federal govt. our children will completely lose their privacy, and will just be robots who all believe the same thing, the govt wants them to believe.

Common Core must be stopped for the sake of our children and the future of our Nation.
Common Core is nothing more than a indoctrination of our children in to a Socialist society where we will all be controlled by the elitest in Washington.
This is a fight we must win to save the principles that our great Nation were founded upon and fought for by our Founding Father.

It is our responsibility as parents to guide and conduct the education provided our children. A one-size fits all approach to teach to "common standards" clearly reduces the intended out comes to merely producing task-repetitive machines ,not critical thinking adults. Defend our children and the future of our republic. Oppose the common core starndards, regardless of the names applied within each State.
