I am opposing the industrial mining operation on 78 in Ft Denaud Labelle area. This could cause environmental concerns such as flooding to adjacent properties, reduced property values to nearby property owners, significant traffic of huge dump trucks to Hendry and Lee Counties including Labelle, Ft Denaud and Labelle. I feel this proposed change to the zoning is not a cohesive use to the surrounding area. In my opinion, we do not want to see what is happening in Lee County spill over into Hendry. I have to appeal to County Commissioners (who are in office to protect the residents of Hendry County)

This mining operation is located in a rural residential area on a two lane road unequipped to handle this kind of heavy traffic. The entrance is between 2 school bus stops. More importantly, the entire area is a panther habitat. They’ve been operating under the radar for 2 years without a permit. Sneaky!

This will ruin my business with the loud trucks flying past the front of my property. I want to keep this little sliver of heaven as serene as possible and dump trucks will make it impossible. Not to mention the road is already riddled with pot holes and trucks will make that even worse.

Our family lives across the street and pur road cannot handle the weight and size of these trucks. I do not care what some stupid survey says. It is 2 lanes with NO shoulder to move over on when a huge truck is flying your way. I haul my daughter and horses on this road and am afraid for their safety especially when turning and pulling out of my driveway. We do not need this. Please listen to the people who live here.

The things that are going on right now are terrible! Country living is dying. We do not want Fort Denaud to turn into Buckingham (Fort Myers)
