Sounds like it is time for the Citizens of Monument, El Paso County, State of Colorado, to contact their State Representatives and Congressperson. http://nomethadoneinmonument.weebly.com/

Why would anyone want to bring this beautiful area to ruin by having such a facility here? A close personal friend with many years of experience with this type of place has said it will bring terrible forces into the town and drive people away. Many people have worked so hard to make Monument a great place to work and live, let's not ruin it by allowing this to happen.

Although I have nothing against people with addiction seeking/getting help this Methadone Dispensary SHOULD NOT be opened in Monument, Colorado.

Used to close by here years ago before joining the Army. I now have seen what these "centers" will do to nice communities after a short while. Monument is a beautiful area and I believe this would be detrimental for my young relatives still in the area, and of course the rest of the community. Please listen to your local residents. Don't allow this facility to open!

I live in Woodmoor and strongly object to a methadone clinic opening in Monument. Please register my dissenting opinion.

This is NOT the right location for a Methadone Clinic. There is already one in Colorado Springs - why do they need two of these in close proximity? This small town of Monument, including Woodmoor is not the place!

I am a 68 year old Grandmother. I have been taking my grandchildren to Limbach Park for 14 years. They love this great play area with beautiful views. A methadone clinic would make that neighborhood unsafe for my family and all of the community. One would think that the almost $ 4000 property taxes that we pay would provide us with a local government which will protect both the youngest and oldest generations of the area. We moved to Monument from CA because we believed it to be a great place to raise a family.... We would never have imagined the local government would even consider locating a facility which attracts drug addicts right across the street from a children's play ground ! Please don't ruin this beautiful community which we all love. Please hear "the voice of the people".

Monument is very misguided in whom they elect for mayor. We need to preserve land more, keep out natural beauty, and keep drug addicts away from our community.

There is no excuse for allowing this clinic to operate in the close proximity to the park and schools. It should be closer to the real need, which is in Colorado Springs.

This should not happen in this beautiful little town! There are plenty of other places that are not small family towns, this would ruin there neighborhood and property would go down not to mention bad move on your part! Would you like it in your neighborhood! No you would not!
