The design of the Canterbury Woods main building does not fit with the architectural heritage of the historic district it is within, therefore I am against the use of the metal plates as the facade on the upper floors.

Much better to have the brick go all the way up. That would be much more in character.

I would think the architects would want a design they can be proud of...metal panels on this building and in this neighborhood will not fulfill a artistic legacy.

I agree, this is one of Buffalo's most historic locations. The architects need to try much harder to ensure this building is a good match for the Olmstead circle.

My opposition to metal panels or any metal facing material is the possibility it will rust like the blue panels on two other high rise buildings on Delaware. If the materials will never rust, I do not oppose the material.

This building lacks creativity, that's why the metal panels are terrible. It's neither strikingly forward thinking and modern nor is it historically or architecturally relevant. It could be anywhere - an industrial park by the airport or strip mall in Any City, USA

Agree!! There has to be a better, more eye-appealing and neighborhood-consistent skin for the upper 3 floors which will be on view for every auto and pedestrian who passes Gates Circle for years to come. While "cost" may have driven the architect's choice of a "metal-plated" materials for the 4-6th floors, there are very good "artificial" natural materials which would be more aesthetically pleasing for such a key portal to the Olmsted-EBGreen Entranceway to Buffalo. There is only one chance to get this right, because once it's built it will last scores of years - either as a blemish or bedrock additional testament to the great architecture contained in this part of Buffalo. (Chapin Parkway, Gates Fountain, Delaware Avenue).
