If I have to use historically accurate materials being in this neighborhood, so should all new builds too! That's why we chose to live here.

I support a better design for Gates Circle, no to metal panels, no to a massive building. Please respect this historic neighborhood, honor all the good work being done to revitalize the city. This is the neighborhood I grew up in and this building will degrade the character of urban context opening the door for more ugly suburban style development. Don't do it!!

I think the building should match the tone of the surrounding historic neighborhood, respecting the Olmsted Parkways and not stand out in a gaudy fashion.

The Episcopal Home was bailed out by the taxpayers to the tune of over $20 million for abandoning their prior location in Buffalo at the Peace Bridge. They can spend some of that money for a better building on Gates Circle.

Gates Circle is a gateway to the City and is a highly visible and important part of the Olmsted parks and parkway system, visible to thousands every day. There is a reason that Canterbury Woods wants to claim this prestigious address and Gates Circle deserves a building worthy of this address. Metal panels look cheap and are unworthy of this project. Let's keep the standards appropriately high to maintain and enhance this important space.

We had hoped for a building with architecture that was compatible with the historic nature of our community. This structure looks just like the Canisius housing on Delavan or the Frizlen building on Elmwood - totally disregarding the elegance of the surrounding community.
