Masks should be optional. There are so many reasons for people not to wear them. One being, Im 52 and I can hardly breath in one especially in 90* weather!

I have a weapons permit and it's illegal for me to cover my face. And if you choose to fine me for my rights, you will be paying my legal fees.

If your goal is to save lives, shut down all the fast food, ban soft drinks and cigarettes, and force people to exercise, because cigarette alone kill 8 million people every year compared to the 400K+ from covid.

Earloop masks, which are what most people wear, do not work and they have warning labels on the box which say that they dont stop Coronavirus. If the manufacturer is telling you it doesnt work, how on earth would you make something clearly ineffective, mandatory?
Not to mention a few other points.
1. They are supposed to be single use, but people use them over and over again, against the manufacturers instructions.
2. How many times have you seen people wearing then with their noses hanging out, or better yet, around their chins? People dont wear them in an effective manner, if it were even effective. See point #1.
3. Cloth masks are supposed to be washed daily. We know this does not happen, further, daily washing breaks down the membrane which makes them less effective if they were effective, with each washing.
4. This will be unenforceable wasting law enforcement resources, not to mention calls for those who refuse to wear them when conducting 'essential' activities like shopping for food.
5. This exposes the county to lawsuits, wasting tax payer dollars.
I can go on but those are a few common sense basics to consider.

If you’re going to make it mandatory for restaurant workers to wear mask, you need to make it mandatory for customers to wear mask as well! Or better yet, LET PEOPLE CHOOSE IF THEY WANT TO WEAR MASK OR NOT THEMSELVES!!!
