I think it is unfair that a child has to have a mask on 24/7 in school. When you go to a restaurant and sit down at the table you are allowed to take it off. It should be the same in school!

Imagine if you had to spend your whole work day wearing a mask? Unless all the masks are N95 or other fully effective product, and are kept on absolutely all the time, the whole thing is for naught! If students come in with various cloth coverings shaped like masks, what is even the point, except foggy glasses and restricted breathing??

Children have virtually no risk of any complications from COVID. Further, studies have shown that masks are ineffective at preventing transmission in people under 50 years of age. Wearing masks increases CO2 blood levels which impacts brain development in children. Wearing masks will create a generation of cognitively impaired children with no offsetting benefit.

Forced to wear masks in class but then eat and play together at lunch and recess without masks...this is a ill informed rule

Ms Wilson per the Royal Gazette: “Infected children can take the virus home to unvaccinated friends and relatives.” People have had the choice to be vaccinated by now. I know that those who are unvaccinated are prepared to take on the risk that they may end up sicker than others. They do not want the government to keep restrictions in place for them. It’s time to move on. If we had let covid go through the schools earlier, we wouldn’t have to have the worry that the children could become very sick. Now we have the Delta variant, which is apparently a bit more dangerous for children. The next variant could be even more dangerous to children - let them get the virus and the immunity now to prepare them for any future variants, please.

No Need to force children to wear masks all day long. While in class sessions there is no need for a mask.

This is not right, kids need to be able to breath fresh air.

It is about time parents had a voice at the table. Children have had to shoulder too much throughout this pandemic, particularly in Bermuda, with excessive testing and mask wearing.

Children are not at risk. They need to breathe fesh air. They need to see facial expressions. Each family should decide for their children to wear or not. Likewise each teacher should decide. If children are exposed they will become immune and they will not need a lifetime of vaccinations.

It doesn’t make sense that the older students are to wear the mask and lower school should not.
