I'm ashamed to say this city is my birth place. This is a slap in the face of police officers who have been killed in the line of duty like my brother Loran "Butch" Baker, my only sibling, our hero. These officers have a right to protect themselves and their lives matter. They risk their lives daily to keep us safe from hoodlums like this one. Unbelievable anyone would choose to honor a scumbag over law. These morons who are trying to impress everyone with their politically correctness and bending over backwards to show they aren't prejudice won't get it until these thugs show up at their house at night and then who are they going to call? Yes that's right, the same people they are now disrespecting. Unbelievable

In that case honor thugs that robbed 2 of the supervisors. They sold out the city, the people, and themselves. Leave your office ur motives are obviously not for the people but for yourselves. Supervisor Kim it's known you don't recite the pledge of allegiance, you should be happy you had the opportunity of this country provided ur family. I was upset knowing a political fugure would do that but come to thinkn of it the pledge sounds a lot better with out ur voice tarnishing it. Just walk in late, u don't deserve the honor of hearing those words. Campos stop using every city event as a stepping stool for ur career and focus on the main problem.... yourself.

I am.sorrynfor this man's mother...buy even sorries for the person he stabbed. I am not sorry for a criminal that intentionally tried to kill another and then made the decisions he did that resulted in his life ending. That was HIS decision, not the officers'. His decision dictated his own fate. There should NOT BE a day dedicated to a person that performed criminal acts and ending up dying because of his own poor judgement.

We need to be honoring people who change the world for the better and the better for our kids. Regardless if this man in innocent or guilty, we only have 365 days and there are better people to choose a day for. This man did nothing to further the future of our state, economy, or anything else.
