Police conduct needs an independent investigation but it's not a reason to glorify a criminal!

All in favor should be removed from office. Kowtowing to a criminal is insanity.

It is reprehensible to honor a man such as Mario Woods. A known violent criminal who put police officers lives in danger forcing them to take his life.

The fact that a city would rather honor cop killers than Heros is sickening and a huge sign of the illness called " San Francisco". I am a Bay Area native and I am ashamed of this city . You will see less and less good people wanting to serve this corrupt city. Who would want too ? Sick sick sick

I have lived in San Francisco my entire life. I have never been more disgusted by the board of supervisors than their decision in this matter. This is not San Francisco any more. Very sad.

What an insult to the officers who put their lives on the line daily! BOS , you should be ashamed of yourselves for caving in to " political correctness ". But it gets worse , they are too damn scared to do the right thing!

Police officers or firefighters killed in the line of duty deserve remembrance days. NOT ex-convict parolees that have attempted to murder someone. SF supervisors=moronic idiots!!!

It is insane. He was not a threat at that moment, he should have been "stunned" Give it up city supervisors,

How about memorial day for all of the officers killed in the line of duty serving the citizens of San Francisco. SF Board of Supervisors should be ashamed of themselves.
