My husband is in bayvie every day working and protecting and fighting to keep those streets safe, and this is a telling him your work is not necessary. People that dont stab people, commit crimes and follow the law dont need to be protected by those that do!

This is wrong in so many ways! When we pay honor to this kind of person, no matter their color, we are make it more difficult for everyone who works hard at living a decent life. What kind of a message is it sending young people of all races?

Can you imagine what this could lead to? Please DO NOT even think about such an irrational concept.

I was outraged when I heard the SF Board of Supervisors had done this! I feel the city I grew up in and have loved all my life has just spit in the face of families that have been victimized and the Police officers sworn to protect them!! What a travesty!

Coming to this "unbinding" resolution for fears of attacks from the BLM Mobb isn't just a slap in the face to law enforcement who risk their lives everyday to protect us, and innocent victims of violence who never got a day......but more importantly this is - disgusting slap & face to the black & brown people in the communities who chose to spend their whole lives in and out of jails & gangs -- blaming cops for their unlawful actions. Why not make African America heros who made the changes in their life to better the next generations and set examples, the heros that represent our community. We chose a Oakdale Mob member who refused to listen to police, recognition because a bunch of people getting a payout from Burris want to heckle? This should have been voted on by the people, and after there was a investigation. I'm disgusted.

Mr Woods is supposed to get "assault with a deadly weapon" or "attempted murder" and definitely "resisting arrest" not a day of remembrance.

A remembrance day for a gang member and career criminal? Shame on you. What an embarrassment! Recall the Board!

This is a travesty. How anyone could think this is a good idea is an insult to rational people.

His shooting was wrong but he was a multiple convicted felon. How about a Kate Steinle day or remembering those public service officers who have lost their life!

The brave LEO's and Firefighters who put their lives on the line for your safety every day do not deserve to be slighted in this way.

Another very inappropriate action by the board of sups.
