Honoring Mario Woods is an insult to his stabbing victim.

Until those who die in the line of duty are honored, I do not believe Mr. Woods should be.

Remembrance Days are for heroes not criminal gang members who stab people

This is not only offensive but also appalling the city of SF would remember some one of his statue.

Mario Woods was a violent felon gang member. The SF Board of Supervisors should be honoring the brave Police Officers that stopped this predator from harming anyone else

Typical of SF Supervisors and their total lack of respect for law enforcement.

How can the SF board of supervisors unanimously give Mario Woods his own day when there are so many others more deserving?!

Get back to work. How about better training for our police to deal with dangerous people like Woods.

This man would still be alive today had he just listened to the police and put down his knife. It is unbelievable to me that we would honor a man who willingly blatantly disregarded the authority of those we have instilled to keep us safe. My heart goes out to the family for their loss but the bottom line is this man has died because of his own pride and arrogance. Hopefully we will find a way to take this loss and use it for good but honoring Mr. Woods is not only wrong but dishonors the police and creates a deeper schism within our community.
