What a DISGRACE!!! Where's a day of remembrance for the SFPD officer's who paid the ultimate price protecting this city. You liberals are destroying this country. I cannot wait to retire so I can get the hell out of SF.

Just the idea of a day of remembrance for this common criminal is absurd !! He got exactly what he deserved !

How about creating a remembrance day for a real hero and not a hoodlum?

Stop honoring thug criminals and support law enforcement officers. First goal...vote out members who don't support law enforcement!

Let' s honor the San Francisco taxpayers before petty criminals. They are the ones paying for the supervisors' salaries and perks.

It is terrible to honor a criminal. What can they be thinking.

The police were doing their duty, video shows a dangerous man who would not comply with the police.

What happened should not have happened but he had just stabbed someone and we should not honor criminals

Please stop this crazy grandstanding. There is an investigation soon to come. No need for your "official" rush to judgement.

I was Saddened, Disgusted and Outraged when I read about this 'day of remembrance' for a BRUTAL criminal. I Truly can not believe, that this is really happening, let alone was even written or thought of! I have sympathy for the mans family for what they are going through, BUT, HE CHOSE TO HURT PEOPLE AND THREATEN THE OFFICERS....HE CHOSE TO!! WHAT about his REPEATEDLY, destructive choices, gives that felon a right to a day of remembrance??!! I am SO SICK of seeing 30 second video clips, that do not show the entire situation and people jumping to the wrong conclusion, only to find out later that the police acted responsibly and professionally. This petition is a slap in the face to our Law Enforcement Officers and to their families!! THEY RISK THEIR LIVES EVERY DAY FOR US! YOUR FAMILIES, YOUR COMMUNITY, AND FOR YOU, INCOMPETENT PEOPLE, that Thought up, Wrote down, and Passed, this piece of INSULTING GARBAGE! How can you face your city, your Law Enforcement Officers, the families of the LEO's that, Gave Their LIVES, PROTECTING Your city!! Every Single one of you that passed this, should be Disgusted, Embarrassed, and Ashamed by your actions! You need to make this Right, and reverse your decision.
