Please go to the San Francisco Police Officers Association Facebook page or our website www.sfpoa.org to follow actions taken by the POA.

Appalling! SF Board of Sups are in Lala-land. These are the same kinda of people who ask why an officer didn't just duck or take the gun away from an armed gun wielding criminal, or in this case just walk up and take the knife out of his hand...the same hand that just stabbed someone. No common sense!

Why honor this criminal? If I had a gun and he was attacking me or my family with a knife I would have shot him too.

This is stupid and is a slap in the face to all law enforcement and public safety workers in SF.

Absolutely NFW! That thug was not a hero or a victim. He was a murderer, even if he may have sucked at that like at everything else. What an insult to all the productive, law-abiding, empathetic citizens of this city that the Stupidvisors want to honor that contemptible scumbag. Vote them out!

Criminals do not deserve special days of remembrance!! I mean, really, WTF? With all the problems facing SF, this is what our lousy BoS are doing with their time? They all should be thrown out. Citywide elections for supervisors!!!

DO NOT DO THIS. It is an insult to the thin blue line, and Americans everywhere.

There is a problem in this country when citizens are honoring a career criminal. How does the youth of this country know good from bad. Board of Supervisors do the right thing and abandon the idea and instead honor police officers, firefighters and teachers

One of the most ludicrous things I have ever heard. It's no wonder our nation is deteriorating. Not only are there no sanctions for violent felons, we now want to reward their behavior with recognition??? I don't get it.
