There is no way Woods should have a day of rememberance. The board of supervisors should be ashamed of themselves for such a STUPID decision.

I am not surprised since our country is all about giving handouts and allowing criminals to continue to commit crimes with no means of justice. SF is just another city who prefers to allow the criminals to run the city and not have any integrity or care about the people who are protecting the city. Ask yourself this if it was your family or loved who this subject attempted to kill would you still be voting to have this day? How our country has gone from respectable to No Class!

Is political correctness more important than common sense? Ask yourselves, would you want your child to follow this man's example? Certainly in the city of San Francisco who could come up with a better role model.

I do not support honoring a person who is a career criminal or a known gang member. As a retired Police Officer and now a Coordinator at a Police academy, I do not even want to mention his name let alone honor such a person. We need to support our Police Officers.

As a native with a long family history of service in the SFPD including a brother currently putting himself in harms way to protect and serve I m outraged and disgusted by this blantant disregard for the police officers in the City! I am ashamed of all of you and of my home town! Enough is enough!

I guarantee you that if Mario Woods would have been allowed to walk away from the cops and went on to stab ANOTHER victim, the SFBOS would be demanding answers from the police as to why they DIDN'T take action. The same BOS who would not allow the officers to carry Tasers in San Francisco. This action by the BOS is particularly disgusting in light of the SFPD officers who have lost their lives without even a discussion about a day of remembrance for them.

Must be something in the air that a bunch of Stupidvisors want to honor a felon. Hope this doesn't catch on. How about replacing the Board of Stupidvisors with felons, they like them so much. That would sure make the City proud. What are you people smoking ?
