Im a San Antonio police officer that was involved in a shooting and was run over by a convicted felon that had just robbed a bank. I went through multiple surgeries and rehab for the next two years. What a slap in the face to all that wear the badge and their families that worry EVERY day if their loved one will be walking through the door at the end of their shift!

Supervisor David Campos, and the majority of his colleagues on the Board of Supervisors should be removed from office for honoring a criminal and their disrespect for law abiding citizens!

Having been a probation & parole officer for over 20 years, I know first hand there is far reaching activites which offenders are continuiously involved in, whether incarcerated or on the streets on inmate early release programs or on parole. Such activites are involved with other criminals, which places the public as a whole at risk.

Should not happen. This is how our society has bent down to please those who have made mistakes and bad choices in life.

This is another example of the government praising a criminal and slapping public servants in face. It's outrageous and appalling.

Have they gone nuts/ Why would they want a special day set aside for him. Are we going to start showing these punks as hero's. Shame on San Francisco.

Public Servants, Military Members, Veterans, and Citizens who risked their lives or given their lives deserve this honor. Not a convicted felon and gang member.

Elected officials have a duty to listen to the people. The people in San Francisco do NOT want a Day of Remembrance for a convicted felon. Neither do I. It is inappropriate and an affront to the police officers and law abiding citizens of San Francisco.

Creating a day of remembrance versus supporting local law enforcement is putting nails in the coffin of any law abiding community.

Maybe these Supervisors whom approved this resolution are using the same drug(s) as Mario Woods.
