I have a better idea...how about we honor the law enforcement officers who have lost their lives protecting their fellow citizens!

It is these type of actions by city officials that make San Francisco the joke of nation wide news media.

Abhorrent. Even the proposal to have a day honoring a criminal is beyond disturbing.

The rise in crime in San Francisco is only being exacerbated with this lack of support for our police officers. Where is the day of honor for those that serve ALL the citizens?

As the widow of an Oakland Police officer I am appalled that ANYONE, let alone elected officials, would want to remember a thug who has contributed nothing positive to society. Honor those who have served honorably and made the world a better and safer place. Please reconsider this ridiculous decision.

The passing of Mario Woods Day by the Board of Supervisors is a slap in the face to all law enforcement who risk their lives day in and day out?

I am disgusted by the thought that this criminal would be honored by a "Day of Remembrance." Really? Let's remember victims, not criminals. This would set up a horrible precedent
and clearly politically motivated. This was an unfortunate incident for ALL involved. Let's not single out a criminal to honor.

Mario Woods was a career Thug in and out of the system. If black lives mater, why don't black youths obey peace officers but instead run or fight. Every black youth that died ignored orders of peace officers. This type culture, rebelling against police officers must be turned around. No one has to die. All lives matter.
