This is crazy. Left wing nonsense. Where is the day of remembrance for the poor girl who was killed by an ILLEGAL ALIEN? Oh wait, only laws in SF that are enforced are upon law abiding gun owners!

It is absurd that the city wants to honor a criminal. Honor the victim that got stabbed instead..

Only in San Francisco would a group of mentally challenged imbeciles, such as those on the Board of Supervisors, think a that a day of remembrance for a convicted felon and gang banger, who stabbed an innocent citizen on the street, would be a good idea. The City of San Francisco is an insane asylum and the inmates on the Board of Supervisors are running it. What a disgrace.

What is wrong with these supervisors that we all elect? Perhaps we need to revisit district election idea so those that run for office have to answer to "us" rather than the "activists" that seem to be able to control the supes. Remember it only takes about 10k votes to win.

Do officers killed in the line of duty get their own day as well?

Absolutely inappropriate to honor a criminal, and someone who had just stabbed a citizen! A real slap in the face to SFPD and honorable citizens!

This is a slap in the face of all Police/Fire/EMS and their families, and to San Franciscans as a whole.

Supervisors....From a 35 year CA law enforcement officer, your actions are a slap in the face to the men and women of your Police Department. Rescind your ordinance or whatever you call it and never, ever do this type of action again. You should all be very ashamed of yourselves.

To give a day of rememberance to a violent felon when you have not done it for any victims is an outrage

This absurd action by the Board of Supervisors is a slap in the face of every Law Enforcement Officer who has made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, serving the public. Where is their day of remembrance from the Board for them? Having been born and raised in the City and served over 33 + years in the S.F.P.D. I can only say that this is extremely shameful.

How does the man Mario stabbed feel about a "Remembrance Day" for his attacker?

The attempt to make Mario Woods a Martyr is a joke that needs to stop here.
