To honor a convicted felon who committed another violent stabbing on an innocent person is pure madness. Instead, honor fallen soldiers, police, fire, or other noble individuals worthy of a day of remembrance

This is a slap in the face of the true victims of crime. My son and only child Stephen Sanchez was murdered by a coward like WOODS. What he did was suicide by cop.

We've lost several good officers and there no day for them. Why honor some criminal that tried to kill an officer.

As a Bay Area native, I am sickened that politicians in The City would honor a criminal. Instead, they should be thanking the officers that more innocent people were not injured. Woods received exactly what he needed, and apparently wanted, from the officers.

Unbelievable that the city politicians would side with a career criminal and not the victims of crime or SFPD.

If someone should be remembered or taken in consideration, it's the victim.

I find a day honoring Mario Woods to stretch the limits of common sense. Remind me not to visit your city again.

Honoring a criminal who was killed during the commission of a crime is absolutely ridiculous. It sends the wrong message. It will encourage the criminal element and discouraged the law abiding citizens.

The City of San Francisco, with another act beyond reason, is putting their residents, businesses, visitors, and law enforcement in even greater danger. Time for the voters to stand up and bounce these bunglers, along with their atrocious agendas, out of office!

Sure. Go ahead. Demoralize and neutralize law enforcement. Then see how long you last without them, Babylon.

Am I missing something? Why would you want to remember and memorialize such a vile human being?
