NO, absolutely NO to honoring a violent criminal - what an idiotic thing to propose! Unfortunately this is not an isolated situation of irresponsible, irrational and insane actions demonstrated by the current SF Board of Supervisors. What a waste of tax payers' hard earned dollars. These nuts have totally lost it and really need to get the hell out of office NOW! But before you do the right thing and resign, why not honor the folks in emergency services; apologize for your insulting behavior and declare a day of honor in their names?

The BOS of San Francisco County/City are a group of dis functional , wrong headed and amateurish individuals. One would think that the voters of such a vibrant city would make better choices. I live in Northern California and visit the city often. I intend to not visit the City and spend any money there for the entire month of July because of the BOS actions!

Honoring a violent criminal is despicable. There are people in the SFPD who put their lives on the line every day. Why not honor them?

This is absolutely ridiculous. So we're honoring criminals now instead of our military men/women who sacrifice their lives for us & the scum like Mario Woods.

Pure insanity - Pure knee jerk stupidity. Shame on the Sups - you are creating more divide and helping absolutely no one. Shame on you!

I am shocked! Appalled!! And bewildered that even a suggestion, other then a standing ovation for this horrific monster being neutralized, could be uttered from any civilized human being. Unfortunately, shame no longer exists because whom ever suggested, a day of rememberence, for this excuse for a human being, should hang their head in shame and runners out of town. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!

You should honor our police officers who risk their lives every day to protect us. Criminal thugs of SF should not be honored. He was no choir boy.

Shame on each and everyone of you for being inconsiderate of all first responders that have lost their lives protecting the citizens of San Francisco and you have not made a special day in his or her honor! You turn around and show honor to a known criminal, how do you sleep at night ?? Was your vote based on fear ?

I cannot understand the City of San Francisco's decision in this matter - I am saddened, dismayed, and disgusted by this "Remembrance Day". I will no longer feel comfortable or safe bringing my family to visit San Francisco.
