Did this guys work to save or improve the lives of others? No! So why is there such an effort to remember him at such a high honor? Political insanity coming from those in office who think they are siding with and appeasing the masses.

Retired Police Chief Glendora, CA 2002. This day of remembrance for a violent person is an affront to every assault victim in the nation.

It is "shameful" that our society honors criminals. And to you that honor those who sacrifice there lives & safety so that you sleep safe at night. I Thank you.

This is divisive at a time when we need our leaders to be above the crowd and help all of us to heal.

Not only no to a remembrance of this thug; but hell no!! What kind of insanity is this? The Supervisors of this town are insane! How about having a day of remembrance for the men in blue that protect our lives every day from the robbing/murdering thugs that are in our state and nation.

Making a hero of a person who has preyed on the innocent is wrong in so many ways.

Honoring a criminal is absolute insanity. Stop this madness and let's focus on people to honor who have showed honor in the way they've lived their lives.

You have got to be nuts. What a slap in the face not only to law enforcement officers but to the law abiding citizens.

You have to be out of your mind. A day for a convicted felony who refused to obey lawful orders of a LEO....

I don't a day of rememberance in san Francisco, or any other city, to remember a suspect who hurts innocent people. What are we doing to our future generations and showing them that is okay to commit these type of crimes.

As a retired LEO, this is as wrong as anything I have heard lately, to include taking an oath to be a snitch on your brother and sister officers. You couldn't pay me enough to work for SFPD, and I am a Mill Valley boy.

He'd be alive and well if he'd dropped his knife when told to.
