Is San Francisco that desperate to honor and remember people that they pick a criminal to have a day of rememberance? How about all the local men and women who serve our country overseas or people who make a difference in the lives of children or others? All you are doing is alienating the men and women who serve to protect your city and honoring scum for breaking the law. San Francisco has become a joke and you are to blame. I hope you know you have become the butt of joke around dinner tables and there is no respect for you or your council anywhere. San Francisco, wake up.

Terrible decision! Honor the officers who have lost their lives defending innocent citizens.

I thought this was InternetBabble... didn't believe it was actually something real... Law Abiders and Defenders are who need days of remembrance, not criminals.

IT IS REALLY A SHAME THAT THE HONEST, HONORABLE PEOPLE OF SF ARE IN SUCH A MINORITY, WHO ELECTED THESE PEOPLE THAT REPRESENTS THEM?

WOW!! State of California a true Liberal State. S.F. wanting to honor a convicted criminal who when released (paroled), obtained a knife and stabbed an innocent person. What is wrong with the people who are running S.F.?

Your day of remembrance honoring MARIO Woods is not disrespectful to the victim he assaulted with the knife, but also disrespectful to every other victim in this country. Not to mention, all the other victims he had affected in every crime he has committed in his life.

This is an absolute mockery to victims of crime and law enforcement. What some politicians won't do to gain a few extra votes...

Honoring a thug like Mario Woods is a disgrace to all of the Law abiding citizens of San Francisco. It's no wonder our country is now becoming the laughing stock and no longer the example to follow.

Please do not honor a violent felon who died during the commission of a violent act. It would only serve to diminish the remembrance of those who deserve our respect such as fallen soldiers, officers, firefighters, public servants, hard working residents of San Francisco.

Every time I think SF has reached the highest level of stupidity it again surprises me. I hope never to have the pleasure of being in SF
