What's next for "The Circus by the Sea"? Are you lame brains going to have 'Jeffrey Dahmer Day' or maybe a 'Charlie Manson Parade'?

How many police officers, fire fighters, and soilders have given their lives for others and not been acknowledged? A holiday for a monster who preys on the innocent and tries to murder someone ..really.....really???? If the think this holiday is a good idea you and he are the same ..THE SAME! No holiday for evil.. Only in Hell.

It is exactly this kind of poor judgement which has caused the nation to disparage the government of San Francisco. Poorly informed elected officials doing their level best to embarrass themselves and the citizens which elected them.

This idea simply underlines why the rest of the nation views San Francisco's city government as a bad joke that would be funny if it weren't so outrageously hostile to those willing to serve.

Promoting criminal recognition will glorify and promote criminal behavior. Something no responsible leadership anywhere should aspire to accomplish!

You don't have a day of remembrance for a criminal. He committed a crime

This is unbelievable that SF would even consider honoring this person. I've lost all respect for SF.

Come on everyone!!! This guy was just a validated gang member who slashed a stranger and refused to comply with lawful orders from police who just wanted him to submit to their lawful authority. Never mind all the police officers or fire fighters who gave their life for this city who didn't get a day of honor. This guy just got his GED from the sheriff where he had been in custody. He was starting to turn his life of crime to contributing to society before the police took his life!!! The drugs he ingested that day were put there by the police for sure!!!! Long celebrate Mario Woods and the city council of San Francisco!

Why consider honoring a career criminal? There are many more men and woman who deserve remembrance and can be honored.

First you refused to hand over the illegal alien to I.C.E, who killed Kate Steinle. Now you want to honor a dirt bag? Brilliant!

The people that wants to celebrate the life of these criminal should instead help the victims and their families. City of San Francisco officials "shame on you"
