As a member of the U.S Armed forces and a law enforcement officer I am offended that a city would even consider a day of remembrance for someone who has done nothing with their life but bring havoc to others, victimizing people repeatedly.

To honor a Felon and not the Police Officers who protected the citizens of San Francisco from this criminal is a huge insult to the entire Law Enforcement Community.

It is unacceptable to honor someone who spent a lifetime preying upon the innocent while you ignore the men and women who spent a lifetime serving and protecting their community.

Choosing the most extreme position on every vote does not make any of you a good supervisor. Why not represent the people who elected you.

It is unbelievable that we even have had to get to this point. What is the San Francisco doing. Are they going to start honoring all criminals or just those that try to kill someone. Shame on you.

To honor this man is to dishonor his victims. The citizens of San Francisco should be ashamed their leadership is choosing to hold this man up as some kind of martyr.

Being retired California law enforcement, It is inexplicable how politicians fail to embrace the needs and wants of the majority and not the outcast crying wasted humanity of the minorities.

I believe this is a travesty, you can not honor a criminal, what's next Charles Manson day? I won't be visiting SF any time soon that's for sure .

As not only a law enforcement officer, as a resident of the state of California, I find your day to honor a criminal simply unbelievable. The city government of San Francisco should be ashamed. We have cancelled our families spring break vacation to this dangerous city we once admired.

Please reconsider honoring a career criminal and get your damn priorities straight! How about honoring a fallen first responder or military hero who actually are productive members of society.

Another disgusting example of the direction our entire country is heading in.
