I think it is pretty clear how I feel about this slap in the face to those who put their lives on the line every day.

San Francisco has been taken over by masochists, hell-bent on hurting everyone they can. Someone send in real prosecutors and get the FBI off their duffs. The whole city government is rife with kickbacks and illegals voting on top of it - or the poor paid off and brought to polls to vote. It is one sick place.

Why would we honor such a person?

I was a cop in Richmond for 30 years. Why in God's name would you want to remember this thug. Think about it, your career is on the line. They're more good citizens than bad ones in SF.

Our society is falling to the lowest common denominator and we as a people have been brow beaten into a position that holds the enforcement of laws, traditions, moral values and other historic order is some kind of racist conspiracy. Not True, and not the position of the majority of decent, law abiding, hardworking Americans. How can garbage become a role model to be remembered?

Mario Woods was a punk. Creating a day of remembrance for him sends a really bad message, about San Francisco honoring this kind of individual.

Perhaps the Board of Supervisors should meet with the man stabbed by Mario Woods, before judging who is the victim here.

A CHP officer was stabbed recently. If he had died, would he qualify for a day of remembrance or would the fact that the suspect that stab him was a homeless person and not a cop disqualify him. I noticed that there has been no comment from the Supervisors regarding this. I guess they aren't as outraged at this attack.

Enough disrespect from these politicians who don't speak for the real citizens of San Francisco, not just the squeaky wheels.
