Please do not follow through with this "day of remembrance." It glorifies criminal behavior and will only invite like behavior on the premace of president. This "victim" was not a hero or a martyr, he was someone who had just committed a criminal act and was preparing to injure more innocent victims.

I strongly oppose this lunacy! A slap in the face to your Officers that gave their life for San Francisco but have no day for them! Get your priorities straight San Francisco! This would definitely preclude me from ever visiting San Francisco ever again!

I was a Police Officer for over 20 years and this has to be the biggest slap in the face to Law Enforcement every were not just the United States I believe that San Francisco disgraced every Law enforcement officer and for any City that wants to honor a murder and was going to kill again I have nothing but disgust for them and the Officers that took Woods out should have a remembrancr day'

I believe this suggested day of remembrance is deplorable. Why don't you have a day of remembrance for the many honorable men and women that serve the city of San Francisco and keep you safe!

We shouldn't honor criminals nor people who have not made this world a better place. We need to days of remembrance to advocate peaceful changes for the future.

There should have never been a day to honor a criminal that stabbed someone. Why doesn't anyone care about the victim that was stabbed?

No one wants to shoot someone. Before you start honoring someone your employees shot, you had better look closely at the circumstances. If you don't like what your getting, provide the training and equipment to safely do it some other way. Based on his actions, your honored person doesn't sound honorable or even defendable.

This is a joke. Parole stabbed someone and he needs to recognized. How about recognizing our police officers who are being killed and attacked on a weekly basis.

Very embarrassing for the citizens of SF. Shame on you all 11 members of the Board of Supervisors. Do you really think you would get away with this? Bad, bad decision.
