If I hadn't already turned my back on San Francisco I would do so now. The city (it doesn't deserve the capitalization commonly used for referring to it by that name) clearly wants only those who harm innocent people to live there.

The supervisors need to put a uniform on and patrol the bad area's.And see for themselves what a officer goes thru in a daily bases.Time to find new supervisors

Days of remembrance are for community members, leaders, service men and women, etc who devoted or gave their lives for the betterment of their community. Devoting a day to a person who died posing a threat to innocent people of your community is a direct insult to those same people.

Nothing should be named after criminal thugs! How about naming streets after ALL the officers that were killed!!!

Honoring criminals should not be an option.....This should never never happen.....Only Honorable People of our Society should have the recognition....Like those who PROTECT AND SERVE OUR COUNTRY....

Honoring criminals is a horrible example for the youth in your city. Find your backbone and stand up to the malcontents who suck the life out of your city.

This is such a bad idea. Criminals can not believe they deserve something like this. The police officers are being disrespected and insulted by this. The city of San Francisco can not truly believe that they are doing a good thing with this.

As a retired law enforcement officer whose son is currently serving in the profession, I find the decision made by the Board of Supervisors to be totally misguided. Instead of glorifying someone who indiscriminately places innocent citizens - and officers - in harms way . . . why not set aside a day to memorialize the law enforcement professionals who have given their lives for the citizens of San Framcisco.

It is incredible that this resolution even was proposed. Come on, people, what sort of country do you want to live in. Think about it next time you need help from the law enforcement, the very establishment you try to run down.

As a retired elected Sheriff, I find this action by the City of San Francisco to be appalling and disrespectful to not only law enforcement, but to the public they are elected to represent.

The City of San Francisco will disgrace itself forever if it follows through on plans to have a Mario Woods Remembrance Day. This is a slap in the face to law enforcement officers everywhere.

Never mind honoring the criminals, how about honoring the individuals that keep your city safe, the men and women of the police and fire departments. Quit trying to be the poster child for political correctness!

This city is so screwed up, you're gambling with your life if you go to SF. Ask Kate Steinly.

Tired of political correctness and the continued disrespect of our Law Enforcement. A slap in the face to everyone.
