Day of remembrance for a criminal? Pitiful. The police done all they could to ask Woods to drop the weapon. I'm sorry, when was stabbing and injuring people is a day for remembrance. PITIFUL! If I was Woods' mama, I'd be apologizing to the victims and pray for her child's forgiveness. Tsk.

Mario Woods is a felon. A day in remembrance of him that he stabbed people for no apparent reason, in front of women and a child is what he should be brought to light.

He was a career thug and public nuisance. We do not celebrate criminals and grief to the public!!!

He shouldn't have been shot, but neither should he be memorialized. He was a violent criminal.

You don't have a day of honor for a person who stabbed someone also someone that also had a record for attempted murder. This is just ridiculous!

Days like this are for people who make a positive impact on their community not those that help destroy it.

This is ridiculous. I used to want to visit SF. I will spend my money somewhere not completely ass backwards. Obviously my safety is not a priority if you could even consider honoring a criminal over any number of law abiding citizens.

We do not need a remembrance day for someone who has a extensive criminal past and who stabbed someone while high on drugs and could have stabbed more people. This is idiotic.

Only in the unabiding "sanctuary" city of the left coast of S. F. This is absolutely SHAMEFUL.

I encourage the supervisors to forget about political correctness and focus on what type of person they are supporting as a role model. If he were a model, outstanding citizen that would be something else and worth celebrating, however, he's a criminal.

San Fran--pull your heads out, grow a pair and do the right thing. .if somebody doesn't, yours may be the first city in ruins when we no longer have police -

Horrible! Remove the day. PLEASE Honor Those who had contributed to the community, and the society in good faith!
