"NO" Mario Woods "Remembrance Day"

I think it is wrong to honor Mr. Woods in this way.

This is really disrespectful to all law abiding citizens. How dare you honor a thug. Won't be visiting SF th i s year!!!

The citizens of SF need to wake up and take back their city.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors represented only themselves and not of the voters of San Francisco. This despicable and cowardly act will not be forgotten.

Let's have a Shug Knight month you dweebs. Make the thin blue line between upstanding citizens and SF thugs even more tenuous. This isn't even political correctness anymore....just like all other institutions today let the asinine government pollute the concept of moral Hazard!

At some point and time the goverment officials are going to have to wake up and start to support the people that dedicate their lives to keep the community safe including the elected officials

We should NOT be remembering criminals. We should be remembering those who serve and protect our communities. I support law enforcement 100%.

I am Police Sergeant in Southern California and find this to be truly offensive and without justification. The City should honor officers killed in the line of duty and not criminals killed with just cause.A Holiday sends the wrong message.

Obviously idiots running San Francisco, to even waste time mentioning the jackass by name other than condemn his anti social behavior is a waste of time and energy. How any rational person could give this proposal a second thought is scary!

Killers and criminals don't deserve honor and holidays. If you had been his victim, would you want him to have a holiday?

Ludicrous. WHAT are politicians in SF thinking? We need instead to honor the men and women of law enforcement who take down monsters like this. If this ridiculous motion passes, a good reason for tourists to keep their dollars out of San Francisco ....

Absurd that this is even an issue.. Not only a slap in the face to our values but imagine the injustice to any of Woods Victims and their families..

Mario Woods most likely didn't need to die, but he definitely does NOT deserve a Remembrance Day. San Francisco can do its due diligence for victims of police brutality without embarrassing itself by honoring a criminal who hurt people. This was a completely outrageous idea. SF supervisors need to check themselves.

The guys and gals in blue put their butts on the line everyday and get slapped with this BS. Cheif Suhr is a family friend and we are 101% supportive of his stance. The people need to speak out and stop this kind of insanity. Doesn't anyone even read the NAACP's reports on black on black murder every year. God forbid anyone educate themselves. So, are the officers involved in a pursuit of a known ex offender who was involved in a stabbing earlier in the day supposed to just walk up to a person like that in a non threatening/agressive manner? Well, agression meets agression and the police are not supposed to assume ANYTHING. They go by training and experiece in such volitile situations.. I digress. At the end of the day, most of the folks pushing this "remberence day" sure are not talking s*** about the cops when they need them ASAP, now are they? But of course not. The classic double standard.
