I am outraged and disgusted that any city would chose to honor such a vile criminal.

With the mindset of the BOS, maybe S.F. will decide to have a parade for Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez for shooting Kathryn Steinle (msrip)... it's about the same level of stupidity.

The idea to even suggest a day in honor of a felon is incredulous!!! What inane thinking took over the BOS that day?!?

How disturbingly bizarre that The San Francisco council would vote to honor an armed assailant who attacked a random victim with a knife. Shame on them.

Let's have a day to remember our fallen brothers and sisters in blue! End the political slap in the face BOS!

I'm a San Francisco native and am ashamed of what San Francisco has become. Obviously people don't know what a knife wielding suspect can do as seen in another recent incident in San Francisco when a CHP officer was slashed by a homeless person wielding a knife.

It is sad that Mario Woods died, but he did stab an innocent sf citizen. did any of the BOS's do your research before make this decision?

Ridiculous... but surprising for SF or today's society in general.

Retired DA, now writing books full time. This ridiculous resolution outrages me! I've buried way too many brethren who made the ultimate sacrifice to believe otherwise. Shame on the City of San Francisco Supervisors. They obviously do NOT give a rip about public safety. Retired or still active duty? Law enforcement professionals do care. Oaths of office are meant to be honored...

SF used to be one of my favorite cities to visit, but I am finding it hard to spend my tax dollars on such dispicable governance.

As a victim of crime myself, I found what the SF Supervisors did was a humiliation to all the victims in the world, and unforgivable. Shame on them!!

We should never honor a Felon. We should be spending more time supporting out local Police Officers who puts there life on the line everyday so others can live safely.
