I believe there are men and women who have suffered and died at the hands of abusive police action. This was not one of them.

The non- already-known-to-be-scumbags-supervisors should be ashamed of themselves. They are not representing their constituents.

It's a ridiculous idea and makes San Francisco and the BOS look ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves!

Day of remembrance should be reserved for public servants and innocent victims of crime.

Mario Woods would have gotten his day in court to prove is innocence of any crime he was "accused" of doing.. But it is obivious here that these police officers don't get to have theirs. They are being tried and CONVICTED in the court of public opinion. BOS and the city attorney might as well write a big fat check with lots of zeros to the Woods family because with this stupid and insane "Rememberance Day" you've crucified our police officers for doing their job.

This is a horrible idea that makes San Fransisco look idiotic. Added to their "sanctuary city" status, I feel I will NEVER travel their again and give my tourist dollars to people who would honor criminal(s) in this way, NO MATTER THEIR RACE! Absolutely RIDICULOUS!

As a law enforcement officer and life long SFBA resident, I am disgusted that the SF Supervisors would honor a criminal in the same manner as a hero. Shame on all of you...

Please reverse your decision on having a "Mario Woods Day" He was a complete thug who had just stabbed a citizen.

He committed a violent crime and does not obey officers' warning! Why do SF honor criminals nowadays?

I oppose the recognition of a felon who posed a threat to the Peacekeepers who risk their lives for the well being of citizens. Officers are selfless in the actions they perform daily, for a city to memorialize someone who acted against those values spits on its protectors.

Another good reason I will never visit the state of California. It seems the people of San Francisco have elected a bunch of idiots.

This is very, very, stupid even for San Francisco's ridiculous politicians. Honoring a person that stabbed someone, which is assault with a deadly weapon, by the way, is a new low even for these misguided, attention seeking , agenda forwarding idiots . What about some recognition for the poor victim?
