The City is going to honor a criminal, but not fallen heroes-- fire fighters and policemen, who protected us?!

I will NEVER approve of a day of remembrance for someone that is a criminal! We should honor those whom have contributed to the greater good, or have done something worthy or have sacrificed for the greater good! This is idiotic ! What next….a day of remembrance for Hitler in San Francisco?

So so heated I didn't check what I wrote: I will NEVER approve of a day of remembrance for someone that is a criminal! We should honor those whom have contributed to the greater good, or have done something worthy or have sacrificed for the greater good! This is idiotic ! What next….a day of remembrance for Hitler in San Francisco?

Appalling that a city would choose to honor a criminal on the day a hero, Sgt Scott Lunger was murdered in the line of duty, protecting and serving. What were you thinking, SF Board of Supervisors? Please do the right thing and reverse this terrible decision.

This is wrong on so many levels! Why is the criminal being honored? It should be Sgt. Lunger who is honored & remembered. Please reverse the decision and do the right thing.

Speak up San Francisco! The ideals of these supervisors does NOT represent who we are as San Franciscans! This is NOT Leadership!

My father, Sergeant Scott Lunger, deserves better than this.

My friend, Sgt. Scott Lunger was murdered on 7/22/15. And to honor Mario Woods for breaking the law, well it breaks my heart for Scotty and the commitment he made.

Let's honor those who deserve it, Police, Fire, Veterans, victims and those who act heroic and help others in need. Woods deserves nothing.

A gang member, violent criminal gets a day in his honor but SFPD officers and firefighters never have...shame on the board! So grateful I moved from a city that would allow this! Shame shame!

Here we have a convicted armed robber and validated gang member, who was on parole when he slashed a stranger and then refused to drop a kitchen knife when told to by police. After less-than-lethal which had no effect, he tried to flee and was shot, and you want to give him a day of remembrance?
