This is an embarrassment to the very nature of public safety and the safety of each and every citizen.... Another yet failed SF politcs and failure to represent the very core of the elected office. Shame on you

The more we give in to politics to make quick fixes, the more this place falls apart. Our children will remember this guy for.... being shot to death after stabbing someone? I'm not sure if I want my children even knowing such a person.

SF Board of Supervisors should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. This is stomach turning. What about the REAL victim in this case, the one he STABBED which led to the police contact?

Law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty (saving lives) should have these days saved for them. Not criminals trying to take someone's life and dying in the processes.

Govt officials should be supporting the officers that ensure your safety, not bow to racism and pressure from people who have no respect for the law

Our country might be able to climb out of the toilet if we stop honoring criminals and instead hold them accountable for their own actions.

This "Day" is just spitting in the eye of all law abiding citizens that walk those streets. To make a victim out of a violent felon is absolutely ludicrous.
