I don't believe he should be honored. I'm sure the constituents of San Francisco would agree.

It's a sad day when the criminals get more respect than the law. My son is a Law Enforcement Officer! He is a good man.

Mario Woods was a punk who tried to kill somebody and had a criminal history. He is dead because of his actions. To honor this thug is the most disgusting thing I have heard of in recent memory. All of the supervisors in SF should resign. They are an embarrassment to this great city of San Francisco

Kate Steinle? How about Kate Steinle - honor a woman who was wLking with her beloved father, enjoying the day. Not someone with a knife threatening lives. Something is very wrong here. I will not go to SF and spend a dime. That is what needs to happen.

When the so called leaders of San Francisco start treating the criminals better than S.F.P.D., there is something defiantly wrong.

Ridiculous! This guy stabbed someone earlier and then was shot.

This is a disgrace to every officer who puts on a uniform and goes to work every day.

I refuse to be from a city that celebrates a day honoring a criminal

Extremely insulting to first responders and military personnel who put their lives on the line to protect citizens. Why in the heck are we memorializing criminals, especially those who purposely harm first responders and military personnel?

I agree with the SFPOA.. I do not live in the city, however I do "frequently" go in and spend a substantial amount of money. I would be willing to stop if this day of so called rememberance is approved by the council.

What did Mario do to earn a remembrance day - this is insane.

Honor real heroes, not people who made poor life decisions.
