Shame on you! You are part of the group that is perpetuating lack of respect for the police. I am a daughter of a retired police sergeant and the wife of an active sergeant. What these men and women in blue go through in a day is unimaginable...Have some respect and help THAT cause!

a day of remembrance is for heroes, not career criminals. You board of supervisors have all lost your minds.

No person that clearly made poor choices in life should be honored with a day of remembrance. The board of supervisors should be ashamed of their irresponsible behavior. Especially those supervisors who lacked the common sense to put a stop to this non-sense.
102 San Francisco Police Officers have made the ultimate sacrifice. They are the heros that deserve to be enshrined.

There is no reason the remember a drug addict that stabbed someone, and was en ex-convict. He should have put down his weapon. Let his family remember in him private.

I don't usually sign online petitions but this is absurd. To honor a low life scum with a day of remembrance...... No way!!! I'd rather honor the officer that put him down.

Fallen police officers deserve a special day. Where are their days?
