It is important to remember good people. Not drug addicts , and felons who stab people. Let his family remember him the rest of us do not need to.

What about a day for every officer who committed their lives to a life of service and then lost that life in the line of duty?

regardless of what happened with his loss of life he was no pillar of the community. This is setting a bad thing for people to follow up with when we honor people who commit crimes over people trying to serve and protect. They will sue, get millions...let that be enough...

There should be National Remembrance Days for every Police Officer that lost their life trying to protect our streets from crime and criminals. What a DISGRACE!!!

I find your city's actions in honoring a worthless criminal thug, who stabbed a fellow human being, and refused to surrender to the police, very disgusting and depraved. What does that say to all of the hard working, law abiding citizens of your city that you respect a criminal more than a contributing member of your city? What does that tell the countless number of tourists that visit your city and spend their hard earned money to feed your city's economy? I promise you that il will never visit your city, which pays respects to criminals and demonizes the police who swore an oath to uphold and protect you idiots in charge. I also promise to tell every single person I know and meet to never visit your city for the reasons already mentioned. You people had better wake up and see how things work in the real world.

This is ridiculous. This is an insult to all officer that put their lives on the line everyday of the year. It is completely ignorant to give a remembrance day to a career criminal when there are plenty of people on the USA that do not have a record and do good for others and go unrecognized. Respect the law and situations like this won't happen.
