Don't martyr violent criminals. This is all backwards.

The SFPD should be commended for protecting the citizens of SF. Can't believe that Mark Farrell voted in favor of honoring a criminal - do we have any sane politicians in this city?

The Board of Stupidvisors need to be recalled as well.

Unbelievable! The victim of the crime can't show his face and the criminal is honored? I support the police who did everything they could, but Mario who was drugged out of his mind would not comply. Bravo to them for protecting the citizens of San Francisco, shame on the Supervisors who are supporting the unacceptable behavior of someone who just seriously injured an innocent person and was crazy on drugs by bestowing a Remembrance Day??! Are you all on drugs too? Stop the madness!!

Where the day for Isaac Espinoza. Our priority is so far off. I will be voting for a change.

I'm in favor of a Kate Steinle day. Sorry if I spelled her name wrong.

Send a message to the Board of Stupidvisors - No Mario Woods remembrance day. He contributed nothing to the community. His family failed him.

Why should a career criminal waving a bloody attempted murder weapon at police get a day named in his honor?? If we are to approve this, then perhaps we should approve a Charles Manson day, or perhaps a Night Stalker day??

Justice was served, this thug got exactly what he deserved. Screw the BOS

It's wonderful that the BoS chose to honor an assailant high on methamphetamine, marijuana, cough medicine, antidepressants, caffeine and nicotine. Truly a role model for our city's youth. N-O-T!

Police harassment of minorities is a huge issue, BUT, you must choose wiser battles than this one. MW stabbed someone, was high as a kite, and didn't respond to multiple requests to drop his knife. MW isn't Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, or the numerous other lives that were unjustly taken.

Justice was served, no martyr to be found this time.

Pay tribute to our fallen officers and victims not people that commitment crimes.

This is a slap in the face to law enforcement. Board of supervisors should resign.
