I stand with SFPD. Tell the Government to put money into mental health This could have been prevented. And prevented in the future. But I do not support killers.

This is only in SF. You get stabbed and your assailant once cornered, defies authority gets killed. Nobody even knows your name but the thug that stabbed you gets a special day and his family gets 100's of thousands of dollars. Wow, who said he would never amount to anything.

Sadly, a mentally disturbed man was shot down... but the fact is he was was wielding a weapon and had already stabbed someone; the police responded properly, gave him many chances to put down the weapon, pleaded with him to drop it, shot him with bean bags, and still he did not respond. Mario was not a hero, and the police were not villains... Also, Ed Lee asking for further federal probes is the biggest irony

The suggestion of this is preposterous. I absolutely stand behind the SFPD and all other public safety officers

This Board of Stupidvisors is simply trying to out-liberal the Stupids that served before them. As a City native, and retired SFPD, I want to vomit.

Does the SF board of supervisors have ANY common sense at all? This is a slap in the face and a punch to the gut for everyone honorably serving in law enforcement.

Outrageous that you would honor a stubbing suspect and give him a day of remembrance.
