This is possibly the worst idea the SF Supervisors could have come up with. This man stabbed someone and they are honoring it. This is total BS.

Since when do we honor criminals?

Let's honor people who have been lost protecting others or fighting for what is right, not criminals like Mario Woods.

What a shame to our justice system. These are politicians that are not supposed to side with anyone. They are supposed to be impartial to both sides of this case. They don't have to be on LE side, but they shouldn't be on any side. This is discraseful to chose a side and to chose the side of a criminal.

This is ridiculous and beneath the dignity of San Francisco. The entire incident is a tragedy...if tasers had been approved perhaps a hopefully non lethal end to the standoff could have been achieved.

The sign of a dead society is when criminals are treated like saints. However tragic, you cannot reject or deny that Mario Woods was a criminal and criminals should never be celebrated. What's next OJ Simpson day?

A day of remembrance for a convicted felon who stabbed a person and refused to drop his knife when confronted by police? No.
