What an injustice to the men and women of the SFPD. To honor a dangerous criminal for your own twisted political agenda is a travesty.

This is ridiculous. I stand behind law enforcement officers, and do NOT want a day dedicated to this man who endangered lives.

No gang member who disobeys the commands of law enforcement should have his own day of remembrance. Do the right thing San Francisco. Show your support for the police who protect your citizens.

This is a slap in the face to all law enforcement officers nation wide.

Dedicating a day to a man that endangered the public is completely ridiculous. This man slashed another man, and refused to drop the weapon when confronted. It's absurd that you would want to make a day dedicated to a violent criminal. I agree that there is a problem with police brutality in our country, but in this case you are dead wrong.

This person was a known criminal, served prison time for a robbery with a gun, and a gang member who committed a violent stabbing.

My father-in-law, Robert Hooper was SFPD killed in the line of duty. The "wacko crazy" man who killed him never served prison time for his crime. This Mario Woods Day is ludicrous, ridiculous and a slap in the face to those who serve and protect us all!!

This is wrong on so many levels. This suspect had just stabbed an innocent person. This suspect refused to drop a deadly weapon. This suspect caused these events and the leaders in San Francisco want to honor him? And on the same day Sergeant Scott Lunger of the Hayward Police Department lost his life to another violent suspect? Shame, shame, shame.
