This is appalling. Where is the remembrance for the victim of his brutality?

A person who stabs someone and does not obey a police officers direction to put down a weapon then gets killed does not deserve a day of recognition. I'm in utter disbelief......

"board President London Breed said. “This is a victory, ..." All of this tells me they support the gangs more than the police. I will not be visit or spending any money in san francisco until something changes.

The Board of Supervisors seems to forget who they serve. Their personal and political agendas have finally reached the outrageous and ridiculous. Absolutely NO!! I will remember YOU when I vote.

Career criminals suspected in violent crimes just prior to their encounter with law enforcement do NOT deserve a day of remembrance. Those who have served their communities through public service or community development do.

This is insane. How are the criminals glorified and the hero demonized. These elected officials have lost their mind.

How can you think of honoring a convicted felon? This guy had just stabbed someone! Makes no sense at all. Time to vote out all the SF supervisors that voted for this.

There are people who should be honored but he is not one of them. If he was doing nothing wrong, I understand but he was a career criminal during the short time that he was on God's earth. He was in control of his life and the actions which he took that day and during that incident to still be alive but he made a poor decision. As a result, many people's lives are affected, including his mother, the police officers who were there and the citizens of San Francisco. It's called "cause and effect."
