If you can't handle the things that police officers are forced to do everyday, do it yourself.

To honor a convicted felon who was killed after stabbing an innocent person makes a mockery of those truly deserving of a day of remembrance.

This is horrible. Please do not send the message that criminals will be positively recognized with a day in their honor. Please do not degrade the honor of our police force when there are far more good than bad contributions that they make to our society.

The board of supervisors should put on a uniform and go out on the streets and deal with what law enforcement deals with one weekend a month for a year. Bet they would change their tune.

This should not have even been a thought until it's proven that the officers acted unjustly and that Woods isn't the suspect who stabbed the person. What I've seen on the video is Woods approaching an officer brandishing what could be a knife.

I think it's ridiculous how the board of supervisors are more than willing to give a criminal a day of remembrance. It's a slap in the face to the officers swoen to serve and protect us. If anyone should get a day of remembrance, it should be to the officers and firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. Not some punk who thought he was above the law.
