This is insulting to his victim, law enforcement, and every law abiding person in the city. Woods does not deserve to be honored just because the supervisors are afraid of the mob.

Where are the citizens of San Francisco who are honest, law abiding citizens?? I fear they have given in to the radical think that have taken over the City government. If any are reading this now, they MUST stand and be counted!!

Criminal activity and those who endanger others' lives by their irresponsible behavior should not be celebrated.

Outrageous! Celebrate someone who deserves it not someone who can't follow simple directions, had no regard for his safety or anyone else, and died the way he lived, making a stupid decision.

To the members of the SFBOS, what you've done is a slap in the face of every hardworking police officer in the country. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. I hope in your travels you never require the services of the police and if you do, maybe you can explain to them why you choose to honor a criminal over a dedicated public servant who risk his or her life daily for you and your city.

A day to remember a violent criminal is what makes san Francisco a terrible place to live.

My daughter is a SF police officer and I find this incomprehensible that a day would be dedicated to a criminal. What about our countries fallen officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice! We should honor those who keep us safe so we don't get stabbed by the likes of the BOS "honoree."

Why in the world should a street thug who had already stabbed someone and was threatening officers with a knife (or any weapon) deserve a day of remembrance?? Only in San Francisco would the supervisors decide to hoist a street thug up on the stage and honor him instead of recognizing all that the public servants who protect and serve every day! Supervisors, the next time you find yourself facing a street thug or someone breaks into your home or vehicle, just call on the local gang to come and look out for your well being.
