sad day in america when the criminal gets a day honoring them, instead of those who put their lives on the line...shaking my head in total disbelift

I do not support a Mario Wood day. He had a criminal. He does not represent anything we would want to glorify. He was killed by police in a very public way and it was terrible to witness. He created the situation.

So disrespectful to law abiding people. Let's name a day after someone who does something. Grand! Like law enforcement

This is the biggest mistake I have been witness to in a very long time. A day for a drug addicted repeat criminal!! Disgusting!!! Absolutely DISGUSTING!!

As the sister of a San Francisco police officer, and someone who grew up with Officer Bryan Tuvera, I find it appalling that the SF Board of Supervisors would choose to honor and memorialize a person of such questionable character. What an insult and slap to the face to my brother and his comrades who selflessly put their lives on the line every day. And what an injustice to fallen officers everywhere. Shame on all of you. You do not deserve to sit in those chairs and make important decisions for San Francisco.

You should be ashamed of yourselves. Would you have approved thus day if one of your family members had been one of his victims? How about honoring police that have been killed by people of his ilk?

Since when do we support violent criminal behavior??? You need to start supporting your police and praising them for putting their life on the line everyday to keep your community safe! Soon with the way you treat the police you won't be able to find anyone who wants the job of a police officer!!

Excuse me!?!? "He slashed a stranger for no apparent reason" and he gets honored with a remembrance date? Unconscionable!
