I 100% disagree with having a Mario Woods Memorial Day. That's absolutely ridiculous considering his criminal history and his criminal behavior when he was shot by the police.

I am born and raised in this Beautiful city , I know times have changed. The true sf people that are still around are appalled, even the ones that are law abiding citizens. Y ou forget that that officers lost there lives in the line of duty. Do we have a day that they would bow there heads for? No we don't it's always been a thankless job, but believe me cops are out there protecting you and your families. I hope the silent voice comes forward, instead of the voice of the few that has caused chaos

What's going on with these stupid politicians in the City of San Francisco? That Campo guy is an idiot to say the least. They are rewarding bad people for doing bad things.
There are so many people (ordinary people, police officers, firefighers, people served in the military ) who gave their lives everyday with no questions asked and hardly got recognized. Where are their honors?
In hind sight, granted this incident might smell bad in the public's eyes, there is still no justification to honor this individual who had a long history of doing bad thing. Not to mention, they are suiting the City for large sum of money, money he or his family would never have earned in their life time. If this crap got approved, what's next? God helps us all!

As a retired LEO I find this as a serious slept in the face of ALL LEOs in CA and other more deserving individuals of San Francisco! This makes me ashamed to say I live in CA!
