Stop idolizing criminals. It's encouraging bad behavior. Had this person not committed a crime he might still be alive today. Along with most criminals.

Absolutely not! SF Supervisors, what is wrong with you people??!! Mario was a criminal and thug and you want to honor that? If anyone should have a Day of Remembrance, it should be for Kate Steinle.

It is unthinkable to give a day of honor to Mario Woods!

All I have to say is black lives don't seem to matter when they put themselves in that predicament.

Honoring criminals and insulting heros. Really? What is our world coming to.

Leave it to San Francisco to want to honor a violent career criminal. It's embarrassing to me as a Californian.

We should celebrate heroes, not criminals. This is truly despicable - even for San Francisco!

The city of SF is beyond comprehension. A career criminal being thought of as a hero. Nice SF. Also the rhetoric needs to go farther as no longer a sanctuary city. Grew up in this town and worked for it also in public safety. Not the place I grew up.

Thanks to gentrification, the demographic that has elected these morons will soon be driven from the city, and the morons they've elected will be driven from office. Patience, people.
