I am for the first time in my life, not proud to be a native San Franciscan. I'm just ashamed of our city supervisors appalling decision.

How about a day of remembrance for the heroes of my city? SFPD and SFFD serve all of us by being first responders. Mario Woods doesn't come close.. This is complete and utter bovine fecal matter.

This is an absolute insult to SF PD and all the other officers who have to deal with very dangerous people daily! Civilians have no idea how difficult their jobs are. Stop pampering criminals!!

Criminals should not be famed at the expense of valor.

This is ridiculous that a holiday is even being considered. Mario Woods was no upstanding citizen and his actions lead to his own demise. A spade is a spade do not portray this man as a saint it is idiotic and downright insulting.

This is terrible legislation and I am offended that the SF Board of supervisors made a criminal a martyr.

This is one of the most disgraceful things this Board of Supervisors has done and for what -- political grandstanding for a future office. Talk about a rush to judgement before all the facts are heard. It is a shame because you have put politics over reason and then take the cowards approach by making the item no binding.
