Any decision to build on this property is wrong. This property should be protected for present and future citzens.

I live in nearby Heatherwood and greatly appreciate the open space that is a key feature of the Gunbarrel area. Open space is also a key feature of Boulder County and part of what makes it such an appealing place to live. If City of Boulder starts the slippery slope of annexing land for high density housing projects and eating into our precious Open Space it will undercut the limited growth philosophy held dear by the majority of Boulder County residents and part of the success of this area on many levels. This proposed project is concerning not only to the nearby residents who will see a sudden shift from a semi-rural character to a high-density urban enclave. It also is a dangerous precedent and a direction that can only be detrimental to the future of Boulder County. If this project were proposed in the City of Boulder it would never get off the ground. The City is counting on the lower visibility of the Gunbarrel area to try to pass this initiative. As citizens we must stand up and protect all of our Open Space areas!

Please lets respect wild life for one in this money driven world. I totally oppose to this project. Open Spaces in Boulder are special and we should keep them that way, That is one of the major reason why people are attracted to this neck of the woods. Thanks for listening.

One of the reasons I moved to Boulder was that I was under the impression (wrongly so) that the city did not want uncontrolled growth and that open space would be maintained. Boulder is no longer that city. Our city planners have their own agenda and I doubt they care about anything but their agenda. The city now wants growth and they want money. What better way but to build in Twin Lakes and annex Gunbarrel. Gunbarrel does not have the infrastructure for more cars, let alone more people. During times certain times of the day, traffic is heavy on our two lane roads and there is no parking at King Soopers. I am also not sure if Heatherwood can accommodate more students. Building is stupid idea, but the all mighty dollar is in control

There are enough homes in Twin Lakes. Protect the wildlife, and slow the choking of Gunbarrel with homes and apartments.

The very reason I choose to live here over Boulder in the city is specifically because of the open spaces. The nature. The wildlife. If they are built upon that would pull away the entire appeal of choosing to live here over other options.

Gunbarrel Green voted against annexation 3 times, the last time by a 93-7 margin. We must reject the totalitarians every single time.

I oppose changing the land use designations for the areas under discussion and contend that it will degrade the environment of those living in the area.

Annexation has come to a vote at least twice since I have lived here. We have voted against it every time. Which part of NO does the city and county not understand?

I am a letter carrier in the Gunbarrel neighborhood and I have seen first hand the out of control growth in that area. There is very little open space left and it would be a travesty to develop the area in question. You cannot put a price on such a beautiful and natural habitat. I have no stake in what is done to this area but I can appreciate the devastating effects any change to this property will have to the residents of this part of Boulder. Please do not develop this wonderful and precious bit of land.

We have owned our home in Gunbarrel Green for almost 12 years and bought this home because of the rural feel, the Twin Lakes Open Space, and to escape the crowds of Boulder, where we have lived for 32 years. Building high density housing in these areas will destroy the natural environment for many species and ruin this area for ever.

I moved here for the Open Space and enjoy walking the Twin Lakes area daily. I seek More Open space, not less. I seek keeping the area Low Density! Unfortunately the Gunbarrell area by King Supers has gotten very over density built and traffic and the number of people on the Open Space has gotten too crowed. I have seen less and less wild life

Open Space is crucial to Boulder!

You have already built hundreds of apartments/condos in Gunbarrel area which is already negatively impacting traffic and King Soopers usage. In addition the Open Space is widely used by neighbors and is a positive for all (especially the wildlife).

Allowing the City of Boulder to annex open space for development is a bad precedent to set. Where will it stop? When there is no more open space?
