As a resident of this community, I am opposed to the lake-to-lake-road. Not only will it diminish our little town with unnecessary traffic it will also cause Belton residents property value to decrease.

I am about 5 houses away from this soon to be road. My children HAVE to walk or ride their bikes to school, which this 4 lane road would cut right through. Crime, noise, and visual disturbances are just the beginning of our problems with this road. I had no clue this was even a part of the plan, or I would have purchased elsewhere!

This is obviously an unneeded project as there is currently ample lake access to both lakes from I-14. Considering the disruption to the citizens along the proposed roadway as well as the cost of purchasing additional roadway through residential areas, this seems more and more like a Rube Goldberg project. This money could be better spent on upgrading the existing routes that lead to both lakes. This would be less expensive, required no significant disruptions to citizens and would be perhaps mere efficient that the proposed boondoggle.

Red Rock Hills resident here. What a horrible plan. You can be assured that this will diminish property values and interest in the areas the road nears. I can attend realtors ARE NOT disclosing this information, as was the case when we bought our property. This is even after specifically inquiring about the “green belt”/“wooded back lot”. If it had been disclosed we would have walked away and purchased somewhere else. A few of the draws of this area are the scenery and safety. A huge multi-lane road will destroy both for the residents. It makes absolutely no sense for this road to cut through this many residential areas. Use common sense, planners!!!

Just because a straight line is neater than 4 turns, 3/4 mile further on wide and solid roads to get from lake to lake, doesn’t condone or appeal to ruining solid neighborhoods!! It’s not worth it. We that live adjacent to the proposed road properties vehemently oppose it and Belton as a whole shouldn’t condone devaluing the west side of its community. Less roads, not more, is the answer to retaining our value and beauty and not to mention, preventing excessive noise, opportunity for crime hit-and-run, & pollution. N-O, NO for Lake to Lake Road. Even if I didn’t live here, I would oppose!!! Use common sense & use what we already have.
Next year in 2019, the Loop 121
Is already being expanded to 4 & 5 lanes from I-14/Hwy 190 to Lake Rd/FM 439!

I do not agree that this one road should open up since I moved here due to the privacy and quietness of the neighborhood. As a retiring member of the military, this neighborhood, unlike others offers a tranquil space, it’s close to post and close to the VA. It’s perfect for retiring Soldiers to finish raising our children. Building the LTLR will force some of us to move out and loose our peace and quiet that we fought so hard for.

I feel strongly that this planned road will make our neighborhood unsafe and expose us to massive amounts of traffic and people we would otherwise not come into contact with. I am strongly opposed to the road being placed thru our neighborhood.

What traffic are they easing with this plan? Waste of money to build a 4 lane divided road to A permanent structure at the dam. Would create a bottle neck at lake rd and 439. Would have been great in the nineties and would have eliminated 121 traffic jam. But too late to be effective now
