I oppose putting juvenile inmates in adult maximum-security prisons, or otherwise treating them as adult inmates. Elected officials should support inmate programs which emphasize rehabilitation instead of punishment, especially in the case of juveniles.

This will only create adult criminals, if they survive. Please don't do this to kids who have lost their way, they deserve a chance to rehabilitate.

Confining juveniles in such a prison is not the way to correct and punish bad behavior. It will surely not return them to their communities to be responsible, law abiding citizens. What about humane juvenile justice?
