Governor, you may remember the late Whiney Houston song "The Greatest Love of All." It opens with, "I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier."
Troubled children need a chance at rehabilitation and not aloud any possibility to be influenced by adult inmates.

No kids inside no prison with adults its not right and wrong to do them that way. I have been saying this since 2003 advoacting for our youth.

Children have special needs that cannot be served in a adult prison setting. We need reforms that will rehabilitate youthful offenders and not programs that serve to make the prison system a bigger corporation.

I am a retired school psychologist writing to express my deep concern, even horror that young people would be sent to Angola. I have seen first hand the terrible consequences of kids sent to adult prisons. Please do not go forward with this plan!

I read "Solitary" and can't imagine what those conditions would do to kids given what they did to adults. To be clear, the Angola 4 were largely held on death row, not solitary as commonly understood.

Putting minors in Angola Prison is incredibly brutal, racist, and the worst possible way to make Lousiana safer. Invest in them, for our future!
